Boone County

Boone County was formed in 1799 from Campbell County; its county seat is Burlington. Boone did not father any other counties.

1. Boone Co., Kentucky, County Court Orders, 1799-1815, by Stephen W. Worrel & Anne W. Fitzgerald (1994), is a verbatim transcript of the earliest order and minute books which contain records of ordinary people not found in deeds and wills. It has 347 pages and includes an every-name index. Case bound (hardbound). Price $35 postpaid.

2. Boone Co., Kentucky, Cemeteries, by Stephen W. Worrel & Anne W. Fitzgerald (1996), contains transcriptions from the headstones in every known cemetery in the entire county, from large municipal cemeteries to small family plots. Transcribed over 40 years by a number of persons, the project was completed in 1996 by Worrel. 15,000 names are indexed. Case bound (hardbound). 485 pages. Price $45 postpaid.
